“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”  2 Corinthians 9:7

Stewardship:The devout investment or use of money, time and ability. In biblical times, a steward supervised a household or an estate. Today, as God’s children, we deem God the source of all we have, seek to hold it in trust for God and desire to be “good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” (1 Peter 4:10a) Source: Sharing God’s Gifts Glossary of United Methodist Terms

As people of faith we come together to worship God and grow spiritually from the teachings of Jesus Christ.  Where ever  Christians gather it is a place for worship, caring, serving, and fellowship. People are the church and their place of worship  and the church’s missions need to be supported financially and the giving of time and talents.
