$2.00 MIRACLE
When you have extra $2.00 what would you do? Your $2.00 can bring God's miracle to our church. As some of you know, our church needs general funds to keep running our office and doing God's mission-paying utilities and helping people in need. The remaining funds will be used restoring our piano. If 45 people save $2.00 dollars per day ($256.00 per person) until our church 132 birthday on October 25, 2026 we can collect $11,520.00. PLEASANT VALLEY UMC CELEBRATION
Join us on October 25th as we celebrate 132 years at PVUMC. After the service we will have a potluck luncheon. If you have any pictures, new or old, a physicalpicture or from your phone, that you would like toshare please send them to the office.

UMM FALL FISH FRY
On October 16 the UMM will hold their Fall Fish Fry from 5:00-7:30 pm. Enjoy fellowship and a delicious meal of Fried Fish, Cole Slaw, Beans, French Fries and Dessert in the fellowship hall or get a to go box to take home with you and enjoy. Adults are $15.00, under 10 is $10.00

MUSIC NOTES
Please consider joining the music ministry team. Choir practice is on Thursdays at 7 pm. If you're interested in singing with the choir in the Christmas Cantata, practices are starting soon. They are scheduled for the following Saturdays, 9/26, 10/17, 11/7, and 12/5 from 10:30-noon. Also, please let Michelle know if you're interested in playing a seasonal bell ensemble.

CHARGE CONFERENCE AT CROSSROADS UMC
Our annual Charge Conference with neighboring UMC churches will be at Crossroads UMC on October 27 at 7:00 pm. The church is located at 43454 Crossroads Dr, Ashburn VA. This is a great opportunity to learn from each other. The conference is held to make key decisions on behalf of the congregation. Some things discussed at the meeting include approving new lay leadership appointments and positions, adopting a budget for the church, setting salaries and compensation for the pastor, among other things. Members of the church council should plan on attending as well as other members of the church. If you would like to go, but would like to car pool, contact the PVUMC office.

MISSION OPPORTUNITY In coordination with the Missions Committee, our Women of Faith group is sponsoring an "Operation Christmas Child" collection. Operation Christmas Child is an initiative of Samaritan's Purse, a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. They send Gift-filled shoeboxes to children in need around the world together with the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.Shoeboxes will be provided for you to "fill to the brim" with toys and other items for a boy or girl in the age categories of 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14. A list of suggested items to include is attached. Please pay particular attention to the prohibited items. Operation Christmas Child now also has an Amazon storefront with additional lists of quality items that are recommended for shoeboxes.Please provide your filled shoeboxes to the church no later than noon on 24 October when the women will verify contents and label each box. (Hint: Coordinate with a friend and buy in bulk, items are usually cheaper.) Please don't tape the boxes closed. The WOF will take care of securing the boxes. Shoeboxes for all gender and age categories are welcome. Indications are that the most underserved groups for Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts are boys aged 10-14, with the youngest children (ages 2-4) also among the most in need.Operation Christmas Child lists___________________________________________________

LIVE STREAMING SUPPORT
PVUMC's live-streaming ministry is vital to our outreach, serving over 20 online viewers each week. To consistently continue this ministry, we need more volunteers to assist with the audio-visual systems used in the church on a regular backup basis. Primarily, support to the live-streaming of our Sunday morning services is needed. No prior experience required, guidance will be provided. If you're able to help with this outreach ministry, please contact the church office.
For the youth needing community service hours, this would be a great opportunity to utilize their computer and media skills.
CONGREGATIONAL MEETING FOR PRAYER - ONLINE
On Wednesdays at 7:00 pm, we have our online prayer group. With everything that is going on in our nation and the world our prayers are needed more than ever. We will pray for the care givers, patients, and any others that need healing. If you need prayers for you or someone you know, please fill out our prayer journal in the narthex or notify the office. LOUDOUN ABUSED WOMENS' SHELTER PVUMC will be supporting the Loudoun Abused Women's Shelter.
At this time they are looking for Food Cards to provide perishable foods to the residents. Donations to the church will be turned into Food Cards from Food Lion in Leesburg and presented to the facility.
And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. Hebrews 13:16
