“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.” (John 4:23)
Grace and peace to you in Christ, my Church Family, !
I am Pastor Sophia. I hope this week has brought you glimpses of God’s goodness and hope—if not, take heart: a new opportunity is coming. Every Sunday is a gift, a fresh chance to step out of the ordinary and encounter the extraordinary presence of God together.
This week we’ll hear Psalm 95:1–6 and John 4:23–24. Psalm 95 invites us to come before God with singing, shouting, and thanksgiving. John reminds us that Jesus calls us to worship the Father in Spirit and Truth. What a powerful pairing! These Scriptures remind us that worship is not just about songs or rituals—it is about meeting the living God who brings joy, healing, and renewal.
Think for a moment about those times when joy was simply unstoppable: the thrill of a big win, the laughter that rolls through a family gathering, or the relief that floods your heart when a heavy burden is finally lifted. In those moments, joy bubbles over—you can’t help but smile, sing, or even shout. That’s the kind of joy God invites us into every time we worship! Not fleeting, not temporary, but rooted in the eternal love of Christ.
Worship is where chains break, spirits lift, and hearts are renewed. It is the moment we breathe in the Spirit of God, let go of what drags us down, and step into His unshakable joy. Every time we gather, heaven brushes close to earth, and God’s presence meets us right where we are.
So, come this Sunday expecting something more. Come ready to encounter the God who is already waiting for you. Come ready to be filled, restored, and renewed. I believe with all my heart that God has something special for us as we worship in Spirit and Truth together.
I can’t wait to see you—your voices, your smiles, your faith adding to the joy of our gathering. Let us celebrate the goodness of the Lord, for He is faithful, and His joy is ours forever!
Oh, don’t forget to bring a friend—there’s always room in God’s family!
With overflowing hope in Christ,
Sophia (Seung Hae) Yoo-Hess
