the community and region. Here are a few current Mission Outreach Opportunities

year of fellowship and service.
- HELP WITH OUR PRAYER MINISTRY at Pleasant Valley UMC. If you would
like to pray for members of our church and the ministry of our church,
please write your name and phone number legibly on a ‘Let Us Know”
card and note ‘Prayer Chain” and place in the offering plate.
As a part of this ministry you will be asked to pray for specific prayer
concerns and then to call at least another member of the prayer chain
in order to help inform the congregation.
POC is Dorothy Teates.
- Food and other basic needs for INTERFAITH RELIEF, our food bank distribution
center in Leesburg, are collected every 4th Sunday. Collection box is
in the narthex next to the nametag display, along with a list of needs.
- Woman’s Bible Study - at 9:30 am each Wednesday in the
Fellowship Hall. Contact Sandi Sorrow for information. A new 12- week
study titled "Experiencing Spiritual Intimacy" will begin Feb. 6. Are
you blind to the things that are closest to your heart? Do you know the
treasure that is already hidden in your heart? Are you aware of the
riches that are already yours? Women of Faith, do you long for intimacy
with God? You just may be surprised what these pages reveal.
- Men’s Wednesday Night Bible Study- All men of the church are
invited to participate in a Wednesday evening Bible study at 7:30 pm in
the fellowship hall. This is a unique opportunity for men to get
together in fellowship and participate in structured Bible study
programs that are based on scripture. We focus on issues men deal with
as church and family leaders, as well as becoming better men in society.
The program is designed so all can come and contribute on any week.
Contact Sam Barnum for more details. All men are welcome! Come and join
us.
