Born in S. Korea, Pastor Eugene grew up in a Christian household. When he was in middle school, he experienced the presence of God upon him. When he was at the University of South Carolina in 1997, he was called by God again, and he decided to live for God’s Kingdom for the rest of his life.
After completing his undergraduate, he went to the Methodist Theological Seminary in Seoul, S. Korea for his Masters of Divinity degree. After seminary, he went to the Philippines to begin cross-cultural ministries as a missionary. During his cross-cultural ministries in the Philippines, he planted a new church, supported seven local churches, and planted a Christian Learning Center for preschool and kindergarten children.
After 4 years (2003 – 2007) of cross-cultural ministries in the Philippines, he went to Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, KY to study Christian Mission and Evangelism. He completed his PhD in Intercultural Studies in December 2012.
