Rev. Justin S. White

A native of Michigan, Justin was raised near Flint, on the edge of the metro Detroit area.  Upon graduation from high school, Justin attended the University of Evansville (Go Aces!!), a small United Methodist university in southern Indiana.

While at UE, Justin majored in Political Science and minored in Religion.  He was blessed to be able to study abroad during his sophomore year, attending Harlaxton College in Grantham, England for the spring semester.  Justin was also actively involved in religious life at UE, serving as a student minister for 2 years and leading a mission trip to South Africa during the summer after his junior year.

Upon graduating from college, Justin moved to northern Virginia and began work in Washington in government affairs.  He worked for 3 years as a lobbyist for CropLife America- a trade association representing agricultural chemical and biotechnology companies.  During this time, Justin was an active member of Floris UMC.  Then, in the fall of 2001, he answered his call to ministry and began work toward a Master of Divinity at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington.

While in seminary, Justin was blessed to serve as the Youth Pastor at Arcola UMC for 3 wonderful years.  Upon graduating from Wesley in 2004, Justin was appointed to full time ministry as the Associate Pastor of Herndon UMC.  Then, in July of 2009, Justin was appointed as Senior Pastor of Pleasant Valley UMC.

Pastor Justin enjoys all aspects of ministry, but was greatly blessed to work on his greatest passions while at Herndon: mission work, adult education/small groups, and youth ministry.  During his time at Herndon, he led international mission trips to Guatemala, Costa Rica, and 3 teams to Brazil.  He was also delighted to lead Herndon’s youth ministry, including 4 mission trips around the eastern U.S.  Pastor Justin also loves to teach, youth and adults alike.

Justin is thrilled to have been appointed as Pastor of Pleasant Valley UMC.  He is proud to be an Ordained Elder in the Virginia Conference, and is currently pursing a Doctor of Ministry degree in Church Leadership from Wesley Seminary.  In his free time, Justin enjoys good food and good friends- preferably at the same time!  He looks forward to building new and lasting friendships at PVUMC, and many years in ministry together.
