About Us

Pleasant Valley UMC (PVUMC) has been an established church in Virginia since 1894. In its early days it was one of five to nine churches all served by one pastor who would travel on horseback between what are now Leesburg, Chantilly, Herndon and Sterling. The pastor might make it to Pleasant Valley Church once every six or seven weeks.

Today PVUMC is active 7 days a week. In addition to our many church activities, from choir and youth group to study groups and Family Fun night, we are also home to several local organizations such as the Boy Scouts, Lions Club and an AA chapter.

Pleasant Valley UMC has about 200 active members who live between Leesburg and Manassas, though many can be found in the South Riding and Pleasant Valley Communities. We are proud to be the church home for families and individuals of all ages, with active ministry programs for children, youth, young and older adults.
